Set on a compact city plot, this three-unit multi-family dwelling explores how density can coexist with dignity—how several homes can be stacked within one structure without losing light, air, or a sense of belonging. The building is imagined as three interlocking habitats, each calibrated for privacy, comfort, and connection to the outdoors.

Each dwelling is planned as a compact yet flexible unit: open-plan living and dining spaces anchor the layouts, while bedrooms are designed to adapt over time to changing family needs. Perforated Corten Steel screens at the balcony lend privacy at the threshold, yet allows for a connection with the outside.

By layering individual sanctuaries within a shared framework, this project reimagines the multi-family dwelling not as a compromise of space, but as a collective habitat—densely woven yet deeply humane. It demonstrates how urban housing can hold community and individuality in balance, while quietly regenerating its site and context.

The Triad House spirals upwards like a treehouse, where the upper floors move up into the tree canopy. The southern facade of the house faces the road with openings that allow for indoor-outdoor living, the three units is a cluster of three distinct residential units, each designed to stand on its own spatially while coexisting within a shared structure.

The three distinct residential units coexist within a shared structure, allowing for multiplicity of user groups, enabling opportunities for ageing in place, and ensuring adaptability—where living spaces can also function as independent home offices if the need arises.

Two of the units are conceived as duplexes, offering the spatial experience of independent houses, while the third is a compact studio unit that optimises its footprint. The layout  celebrates togetherness a community, while allowing space and room for individuality.
